Insite Objects, Inc. was formed in 1995 by a group of SAP professionals to develop software solutions designed to assist SAP project teams in the implementation and maintenance of SAP. Based in Houston, TX the company has sold its products to project teams of all sizes from ASAP implementations to global rollouts and currently has it's products installed at over 450 SAP projects. The company has about 80 employees primarily based in Houston and London, and has established partnerships with a number of the major SAP consulting firms, including many of whom specialize in the documentation and training arena.
The company's initial product was INSITE, a change management tool designed to manage and facilitate changes made to SAP systems. It helped the project team manage issues from the time of capture all the way through the transport process in SAP into the production system. It is fully integrated with the SAP CTS/CMS system and provides workflow capabilities and a complete audit trail of the change process.
RESITE, the company's second product line, was initially developed in 1998 in response to requests from many customers to provide a tool that would help them through the monumental task of documenting SAP transactions and to relieve them from the tedious manual tasks of "cut and paste". Many customers experience time and dollar savings of up to 80% when creating their documentation using RESITE Recorder.
In 1999, the customer base wanted a product that would take the output generated by RESITE Recorder and publish it to the Intranet where the user base could access it directly from SAP in a context sensitive manner. RESITE Publisher was delivered in early 2001 and has become a market success primarily due to it's extensive functionality and its ability to convert documents to HTML, build and index the web site and update the context sensitivity in SAP without any manual intervention.
In 2006, Insite Objects acquired Quartet Solutions, and a services component was added to bolster their already successful product line. Project Management, Training, and Consulting were all added to the roster. Also in 2006, RESITE SP was released as a means to go beyond the typical SAP help. “RESITE SP allows context sensitive access from any application to any material,” said CEO David Hall, “It is a single point of access for all support, help and training content that eliminates much of the learning curve on learning. RESITE SP makes our entire product suite a solution for the enterprise, not just SAP.”
Insite's development ventured into performance monitoring in 2007. With the acquisition of Quartet came a base product that could pull historical information out of the SAP system. The development team saw much more potential, and in late 2007 released RESITE Monitor. Now CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, Training Teams and Super Users can see how processes built are functioning in the SAP system instantly. They are also able to monitor the User Performance as well, spotting training problems before they become major headaches.
Seeing that RESITE, through it's Recording, Publishing, Support, and Analyzing phases was now successfully helping people improve how they perform SAP, RESITE became known as the RESITE Performance Suite.
As Insite looks to the future, it plans to expand operations and partnerships, and find new and better ways to integrate products seemlessly into one another, creating a cost effective, streamlined system to continue it's new found mission of Employee Performance Improvement.
