1.  What is the RESITE LCMS?

The RESITE LCMS stands for Learning Content Management System. Our LCMS is a light-weight content management system which brings content into a single portal. From there you can create end user courses that can be custom designed for general training and certification.

2. How does RESITE LCMS work with the RESITE Performance Suite?

A Publisher integration exists such that resource materials may be produced using RESITE tools and published to LCMS using Publisher.

3. What types of reports does LCMS produce?

LCMS ships with a set of predefined reports.  The results of the reports are provided as HTML documents that may easily be copied out into Microsoft Excel.

4. What types of files link into LCMS?

Any file that can be linked through LCMS may be used as a resource.  This includes all forms of document files, as well as things such as executibles.

5. Do I need to have proper viewing software installed to see all of LCMS' files?

Yes. Since LCMS is allowing the administrator to host the resource files, users will be unable to use those resources if they don't have the proper viewing software installed on their client computer.  For example, a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet could be used as a resource, but if the user does not have Excel installed, he/she would be unable to view it.

6. Can RESITE LCMS do scheduling?

LCMS does not support any form of scheduling at this time.

7. Can you have security levels and/or different types of administration levels?

Yes.  LCMS has a full range of permissions flags that can be mixed, matched and used to generate user profiles to the tastes of the customer.

8. Is LCMS SCORM compliant?

Yes.  LCMS can record results from SCORM compliant resources as well as produces SCORM compliant content packages.

9. Can you create certification programs in LCMS?

Yes.  Authors can create certification programs around content, and users can achieve certification by following the defined programs created.

10. What languages does LCMS support?

The LCMS user interface is currently provided in English only.  However, content materials can be created and used in any language the customer wishes to use.

11. Does LCMS have it’s own login separate from the general network login?

Yes it does.  This allows the product to operate in any kind of environment that allows HTTP traffic, regardless of the directory/domain/network provider.

12. Can LCMS link into any 3rd party product?  (ex. SAP)

Not at this time.

13. How easy is LCMS administration?

LCMS works best when groups and roles are defined rigorously by the adminstration. When you use LCMS, you get simplistic user management and the tools to ease the administration of large groups of users by group and role.

14. How do I get access to technical support?
