1.  What is the RESITE Publisher?

RESITE Publisher is the central system which takes both imported content and content produced by RESITE Recorder, sets it into a folder structure which allows you to import, edit, approve, and move content through a pre-defined system, and finally publish to an end user or administrator in multiple formats. RESITE Publisher produces a fully automated EPSS and multiple documentation formats, as well as simulations and integrations with other RESITE products.

2.  Tracker+ is now completely integrated into Publisher?

Yes, the functionality is now ‘built-in’ and can be set-up via a wizard feature.  Because of this, Tracker+ is no longer offered as a separate product.

For customers who purchased Tracker+, this is simply an upgrade to the functionality they purchased.

3. Publisher now interfaces with RESITE Recorder?

Yes. You can now simplify the content creation, importation, approval, and publication process just by clicking on the Manage Folders button found in the RESITE Recorder menu.

4. How can RESITE Publisher be installed?

There are two ways. One is the standard server installations (for technical requirements click here), the other is accessing Publisher via the Sitelab system. Sitelab refers to the ability to use the RESITE Performance Suite without having to install any of the server-side components, and is primarly designed to reduce IT burden in the Small/Medium Enterprise (SME) market. 5. What does Publisher convert and output?

Publisher can import and convert almost any file to HTML or pass them through in their natural format. For RESITE Recorder files, Publisher can convert them to a host of materials, including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, simulations, and HTML. Publisher can also integrate with RESITE LCMS to create courses, RESITE SP to link help documents, and upload information relevant to RESITE Monitor.

6. What documents can I import into Publisher?

You can import almost any document into RESITE Publisher. If you have specific requirements, or are unsure about the nature of your files in regards to importing, please contact us at sales@insiteobjects.

7. How can I track my content?

RESITE Publisher now holds full integration of RESITE Tracker+. Because of this, RESITE Publisher is now able to help you both site manage your EPSS as well as manage content through email, web, and GUI interface. When you set-up Publisher, you now have the ability to configure the approvals right within the wizard. From there, a folder system is put into place in which you can set up an approval process from author to administrator, giving you power to chose what content reaches your end users when.

8. What types of simulation are available?

RESITE Publisher provides three types of simulations:

  1. Interactive: The user follows along the instructions given
  2. Test: The user is tested on each step within the simulation
  3. Demonstration: The user watches as the simulation is performed

9. How do you set up web help?

Web help is now completely set-up within the Publisher wizard. You can now have a full EPSS up and running within minutes!

10. Can I customize web help?

Yes. While we offer standard template design, for a small fee you can completely customize web help to meet your companies brand. RESITE Publisher web help is now designed in CSS, making the conversion time even faster than before.

11. Why should I upgrade to the current Publisher?

Our top five reasons:

  1. Integrated Site Management: Enables authoring teams to coordinate and manage progress and status.  All of this is integrated into the RESITE Recorder GUI.
  2. Integrated Document Management:  All the features of Tracker+ are now integrated with our Publisher unit and set up via a wizard feature.
  3. Improved Web Site format and presentation:  This feature improves the usability of the RESITE Publisher web help pages and enables the sites to be more effective for non-SAP applications.

12. Is there any upgrade charge to the RESITE Performance Suite?

Yes. 13. How do I get access to technical support?
